Jane Alpert is a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. She maintains a private practice in Santa Monica,California.
With over 22 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Antioch University specializing in Psychology, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are couples counseling, addiction, sexual abuse or rape, depression, anxiety, spiritual counseling, meditation and holistic healing.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Jane has presented to general audiences speaking on the topics such as "Embracing Your Inner Critic", or "Surviving Childhood Sexual Abuse".
Jane is also a certified Power Yoga teacher and has taught on a donation basis with Bryan Kest for over 10 years in the Santa Monica area. She blends Eastern and Western philosophies to help people begin their spiritual journey. There is an old Budhist saying, "Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional." One of Jane's goals for her clients is to help them eliminate their suffering and live a well-balanced, productive life. Jane has also completed a 10 day silent Vipassana meditation. She loves to teach her clients how to meditate in order to reduce their stress and improve the quality of their life.
